Logistic centers are at the core of our business. We are especially proud of our collaboration with MLP, a leading developer and owner of logistics, industrial, and business parks in Poland.
In various locations across Poland, we have completed 9 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 5.9 MW, which will generate savings of over 53 million PLN over the next three decades. Besides the financial aspect, it is worth emphasizing that the entire investment is an exemplary case of industrial decarbonization. Over the next 25 years, the reduction in CO2 emissions thanks to photovoltaic installations will reach nearly 102,000 tons.
One of the main construction challenges was meeting strict technical requirements, as the roof structure allowed for load transfer ranging from 15 to 35 kg/m2, depending on the location. Additionally, due to the fact that the facilities are located in various regions of Poland, we had to coordinate connection projects with several distribution network operators (Enea, Tauron, PGE, PKP Energetyka).
The most significant challenge turned out to be connecting the installations to operational facilities. MLP tenants include cold stores, freezing facilities, production lines, among others, so the final energization had to be perfectly coordinated and carried out with extraordinary precision.
The MLP group specializes in the construction, leasing, and management of warehouse and industrial properties. It offers facilities in the pre-let and build-to-suit (BTS) systems. The company operates in Poland, Germany, Romania, and Austria. Its portfolio includes existing logistics parks as well as projects under development and in preparation. As of the end of March 2024, the total built area amounted to 1,117,612 square meters.
